Sweethearts Music Management is an established music provider that has been helping clients with all of their music performance needs since 1999. During this time, they have attracted a great deal of publicity throughout Australia, appearing at weddings and many high profile functions and concerts, including performances for former Prime Minister John Howard, Mr Rudi Giuliani (the former mayor of New York), Sydney Opera House, His Majesty’s Theatre and at Opera By George.

When I graduated from my Bachelor of Music degree from the Australian National University in Canberra back in 1999, I set up Sweethearts Music Management as a way for my friends and I to perform together at weddings and functions. It was a great excuse for all of us to catch up regularly and do what we love, play music. I would prepare all the classical repertoire plus compose special arrangements of popular music and songs for us to play.

To start with, I managed a group of around 30 classical musicians, enough for a small orchestra and would break off into different ensembles as required. Whether it be a string quartet or flute and harp duo or even a solo cellist, I was able to provide each client the musicians they dreamed of.

As time went by and opportunities came up, my wonderful colleagues would move from Canberra to other Australian cities and towns to pursue their careers. Instead of losing these musicians, I saw it as an opportunity to expand and continued to manage my friends in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, Darwin and Perth for weddings and functions. Later I would then expand the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Cairns, Hunter Valley region and Margaret River region.

As Sweethearts Music went National, I saw this as a great time to move back to my hometown Perth and continued managing all my beautiful musicians from the west in 2004.

Twenty four years later and this core group still play for Sweethearts Music Management. Of course over the years I have met many more classical musicians and invited them to join the Sweethearts Music Management team at all our locations. It has and always will be not just a business, but a collection of friends who love performing music together.

It is always a great honour to be asked to perform at intimate and personal event like a wedding or be included as part of a company’s branding and image at a corporate function and I never take that for granted. Over the years we have played at almost all the big venues around Australia such as Parliament House, Sydney Opera House, Perth Concert Hall as well as grandiose hotels, exotic retreat locations and wineries.
